L E T T I N G G O
Letting go feels terrifying when you’ve worked so hard to cushion yourself into a safe space.
Letting go of memories, people, places, trinkets, and collectible items.
Letting go of habits, beliefs, fears, and values.
Letting go of all you’ve ever known, in the name of peace, joy, and growth.
Letting go of the pieces of you that helped in your survival and held you through your trauma.
You’re ready for more now though, so does it not make sense to let go of what was serving the older version of you? How else will you allow space for the newest version of you?
Letting go has always been hard for me. But I spent this past weekend having a yard sale and taking what was left to donate.
My collectibles served as security trinkets during some of my darkest days.
Dark Days I’ve now processed and released.
So, thank you trinkets, thank you collectibles. May you find another home to hold you. Because I’m letting go.
Thank you limiting beliefs, thank you unhealed habits. You’re no longer needed here. I let go of you.
Thank you to all past versions of me, be free.
